Any semblance of order among Incarnate's fleet is almost soley in the grasp of a few Captains, such as Captain Flame and Captain Merrisol. All forces have committed themselves, apart from a few reserves kept back and removed from the fighting by the Zealot Fleet. The grand scale is a mess. Smoke. Ships afire. Debris in the water. Hulls not yet fully sunk. Screams and cheers and jeers. Prayers and oaths and vendettas. The battlefield is an absolute mess where friend and foe sometimes comes down to visibility.
The Arks are large floating targets that proceed in their grand swerving manuevers, and ships are using them as cover and rallypoints in the absence of traditional land-based terrain for armies. For most of the defenders, it's coming down to ships either teaming up or trying to be lone wolves. Both fleets are unified in their goals, but subject to the stresses as might befall a number of powerful commanders all sharing a piece of the battle. There are a ~ton~ of personalities on the field of battle. Two navies are made up of very influential Captains but without the rigor of something like an official highly regimented Navy. It's showing now, and both fleets cannot claim an advantage over the other in this manner on a grand scale. What is on fine display is a greater adaptability without needing Orders verified or signed in triplicate. Ruby's delegated quite a bit when it comes down to your own timber and canvas, leaning ~hard~ on the Minosian philosophy...for good or ill. Priority is defeating the enemy fleet and preserving as many vessels as possible. And to the victors go the spoils.
The battle has not yet reached a tipping point that could guarantee victory for one side or the other, and of course there is still that awful thought lurking that if things go well or badly enough, there is the possibility of an escalation through un-conventional means.
