Temporary shelters and clumps of people share elbow room with elephantine beasts and artillery. A number of specks are circling slowly above this carnival of armed conflict. There's still a good chunk of real estate between here and there, and the monowheels might be merely specks themselves to anyone over there. A massive round disk leans at an angle against a coastal cliff. It is a biggie. It resembles the thing in Zambie deepfreeze and the Zone of Port Anchorage.
