The Outriggers can tack hard and practically turn on a coin. The hard black blades that they skate on are sharp and vicious. One false over-correction and a situation worse than a normal capsize will occur. The wind filling their sails is like a wild spirit always wanting to be free of the ribbon material, or to help trash the man-made constructs.

The amount of lead and bolts singing through the air is tremendous, the ice is bouncing sounds around much as the hard rounds. The ricochets are pretty nasty too.

The owners of the hijacked boats are motivated to try and retake them...the ones that aren't skidding and skipping bodily on the ice meters behind. They turn 3-shot gas powered barb launchers at the hijacking Pirates. Their footing is remarkable, as is their feverish movements. For souls existing in such a cold place, their frostbitten skin is so wirey fast and frantic, and they always seem to be panting breaths triple-quick. Up close, they reveal practically non-existant lips, so their grey teeth are constantly exposed like the grill of an old Chevy. The clothing they wear are like parkas, but in ribbons like their Outrigger sails, providing little insulation.
