Ruby has needed something. Again. She's a needy gal and always seems to require someone to watch her back or witness some purported great idea inevitably fall short. Today has required horses or fleet feet. "We need tah goo oot. Far...but not too far. Need wiggle room tah shift..." And so the trip has required getting out of Amber by foot or hoof. Jogging or trotting is required, because a lengthy stroll just isn't fast enough.
Setting off from the gates of the city and moving towards troubled Arden seems to be the cards. That is until she leads the group off onto a trail that won't lead directly to Eastgate. She sticks to a trade path, not daring to venture deep into the forest. Eventually, they're rewarded with a vista of a blustery hill and gently descends towards a valley. Between the hills is an oddly long stretch of tombstones and grave markers. Nearby are paths that lead most likely to villages or farms that have used the sheltered area to put their deceased to rest.
Ruby halts before entering the valley proper. "Look...We goo'n someplace tha won't be a bother at all. Simple. Truth. But y'know, sometoimes it ain't. An I need more eyes an ears than I gots. There's a place in shadoo tha needs a pickin through. Was gonna get somethin for tha wedding comin oop, an maybe still can. But there's raw materials I gonna need, Truth. And tah be 'onest, tha special ingredients always be tha worst. It's more than tha thought tha counts. Proof is in tha puddin. Effort counts."
